Parking in The District

Our best advice is to look at the posted signs before you park. They’ll tell you if you can park there and what hours parking is enforced.

Free parking is available on-street for two hours or less – and there’s a lot of spaces.

A parking ramp is located for your convenience in the center of downtown. Enter the ramp from 16th or 17th Street between 3rd and 4th Avenues.

Parking lots are available during certain hours.

2nd Avenue between 17th & 18th Streets (the Great River Plaza) is closed to vehicles Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. year-round. Why is it closed? To keep patrons safe as they walk around our lively downtown. When the gates close don’t leave your car there – it will be relocated for you (aka towed).
